Innovative way to fix Whatsapp’s issues

I’ve been using Whatsapp since 2013 – and honestly I’m sick of the number of times I get the same forwards.

– School/college friends sending the same posts
– Workmates forwarding repeats
– Educational groups sending in the same stuff

Can’t blame them… But I can be better with my posts right!!

I wanted to fix when I can’t keep track of the messages I received and decided I wanted a permanent archive. So I made this app.

– Jokes; GOOD ones not the racist types
– Admittedly some of them may have Hindi; but that would balance out since I’m adding a huuuge number of English-only

Other stuff I’m adding into it (in process)
– Reminders to inspire you from time to time through the day
– A record of WHEN YOU LAST SHARED – so YOU will never duplicate your shares if you use the app
– Ability to store a “private dump” – where you can catalogue your whatsapp posts, manage them and retrieve them later

Salsa Salsaa Restaurant – Online ordering, basic data analytics

Background

Salsa Salsaa is a restaurant in Sahara Mall, Gurgaon. They have been having major trouble with footfalls in restaurant since 2012 when the mall’s popularity declined, and were looking at creating a more sustainable solution (vs closing the restaurant). Salsa Salsaa approached Wherrelz IT Solutions Pvt Ltd in November 2012.

Challenge

Building a web-based solution that allows current customers to order online, and stretches the restaurant’s reach to an online audience.

Solution

Wherrelz IT Solutions Pvt Ltd used the standard .NET based technologies and modern HTML5 to create an online ordering and self-service platform. In addition an analytics and content management (CMS) platform was made available to allow the Salsa Salsaa team to update data at their leisure.

Impact

Today the restaurant is not as loss making as they were in 2012-13. Profitability may take longer to bring in, but with the current level the owners no longer need to shut down.

dana Choga Restaurant – Online Ordering, CRM, Digital Marketing

dana Choga is a fine dining restaurant with a strong home delivery system established in 1994, in the national capital region of India. dana Choga approached Wherrelz IT Solutions Private Limited in September 2011 to assist with online ordering and logistics management.
Challenge
dana Choga’s dine-in restaurant business was stagnating. Limited to 3 outlets at the time there was no visible scope for growth except for online.
Solution
Wherrelz IT Solutions Private Limited created an online ordering system to service this purpose. In addition, the website www.danachoga.com was re-designed and developed to suit the restaurant’s current look and feel, and a CRM solution was made available to restaurant staff to track orders and order fulfilment.
This instantly allowed dana Choga to establish itself as the one and only fine dining restaurant to offer online ordering and assured timely delivery at the time in this region. We were able to significantly boost dana Choga’s online presence using Digital Marketing.
Impact
We started dana Choga’s online ordering with 4-5 orders per month and average ticket size of Rs 350 – this has been significantly increased to 20-25 orders per day and average ticket size of Rs 650 – thus online revenue growth from zero without a website to ~Rs 52,500 per month before Digital Marketing to ~Rs 487,500 per month. As a result of this effort, dana Choga has now saw fit to setup a patisserie to cater to the eclectic tastes of the populace in the region. It has now expanded to 14 outlets.
