Launched in April 2016 by Adarsh Jain and Shashank Agarwal, Gurugram-based ThirdWatch offers the product ‘Mitra’ which evaluates and flags every transaction in real-time as fraudulent or genuine on the basis of a trust score.

The score is generated with the help of machine learning algorithms, user’s browsing behaviour analysis, device fingerprinting, location profiles and other evaluation parameters which determines every transactions’ authenticity.

E-commerce players and merchants can integrate the application with Mitra API which automatically blocks fraudsters at large scale, without having to hire additional staff for fraud review.

2. Parallel Dots

Founded by Angam Parashar, Ankit Singh and Muktabh Mayank, Parallel Dots has a team of techies who are passionate about making life simpler for internet users.

Their algorithm automatically searches for the important events on themes matching the users' interest in the publishers archive and subsquently generates an interactive timeline of those themes on the publisher's webpage itself for the end-users.

Parallel Dots also recommends content to end-users and hence is bound to have strong competition.

3. AirCTO

AirCTO, a human- and artificial intelligence-powered recruitment platform that helps companies hire technical talent.

AirCTO, operated and owned by LaunchYard Technologies Pvt Ltd, deploys a mix of human and AI elements in identifying the right technical talent for enterprises. It helps businesses save time by taking away the pain of screening a multitude of candidate profiles.

Enterprises can upload the bulk of candidate profiles on the AirCTO platform and apply filters. The AI machine then screens the profiles based on the filters and parameters provided by the company. The filters can be as specific as work experience, skill sets, education qualifications, etc. and the machine looks for a comprehensive and related search, not just keywords matching.

4. Niki.ai

Based on AI and Natural Language programming (NLP), Niki.ai is a chatbot that users can '˜talk' to. The app understands human language in the context of the products or services users wish to avail. Currently, users can search, discover, confirm, and pay for cabs and mobile recharges through a simple chat interface.

As a technology platform, Niki.ai has been built to be both simple and scalable '” simple for customers to use and scalable as a product.

Niki.ai can also help users with mobile recharges through an integration with justrechargeit.

5. HealthMir

HealthMir provides information on health through videos. It has a library of more than 2,000 videos created around 500 odd health conditions. The app, which is available on the Google Play store and App Store, also allows users to understand their health risks through personalised health trackers. Users can also book a consultation with any of the 2,000 doctors and 100 hospitals that the company has tied up with.

It also runs an app called Sympler, where users can discuss their symptoms with a chatbot, while also accessing the consultation and content module. HealthMir also has corporate health solutions.

6. Vernacular.ai

Bengaluru-based Vernacular.ai was launched in 2016 by IIT Roorkee alums Sourabh Gupta, Akshay Deshraj, and Manoj Sarda. The startup is building Natural Language processing (NLP) Technology in Indian languages to enable businesses to interact and engage with their multi-lingual customers in the languages preferred by them.
